My Girlfriend Gets Bad Yeast Infections After Sex !?

Dear Couch,

I need help. My girlfriend doesn't like to have sex, because it's too much of a hassle. She gets bad yeast infections after sex quite often if she doesn't do the following: Drink a lot of water before sex (which makes sex uncomfortable) urinate after sex clean her vagina very well after sex. Because of this sex is too much of a hassle for her, thus we don't do it nearly as often as we might like. Is there anything that we can do to make it easier for her?

Dear Bread-makers,

The only person who can really solve the dilemma of your girlfriend's itch-fest is her doctor. Her problem may be caused by one of several things that you would need a speculum and a microscope to decide between. Your options are 1. You both have a yeast infection that you are passing back and forth to one another. Male yeast infections, although rare, are a reality. 2. She has a bladder infection, not a yeast infection. Most women know the difference, but her little sex routine seems to follow a urinary theme. 3. She has Chlamydia, or another STD, that is causing not only vaginal irritation but urethral (pee-hole) irritation as well. Also passing back and forth between you. 4. Your girlfriend has serious sexual relationship problems and she's creating an excuse to avoid sex or she's a neat freak about her vagina. Anyway, her doctor can address the first three, and then you're on your own figuring out the fourth.
